Inside the cozy cottage, Goldilocks saw three bowls of porridge sitting on the kitchen table. Feeling very hungry, she tasted the porridge from the largest bowl but found it much too hot. She tried the medium bowl, but it was still too warm. When she tasted the smallest bowl, she smiled because it was perfectly warm and delicious, and without thinking twice, she ate the entire serving. After eating, she felt tired, so she walked into the living room where she found three chairs. She sat in the largest one but felt that it was too hard. The second chair felt too soft, and although the smallest chair felt just right, it broke under her after a few gentle movements, causing her to fall to the floor.
Still sleepy, Goldilocks climbed the stairs to the bedroom area where she discovered three neatly made beds. She lay down on the largest bed but found it far too firm. The second bed felt too soft, so she moved to the smallest bed, which felt perfectly comfortable. Within moments, she drifted into a deep sleep. While she slept, the bear family returned home. As soon as they entered the kitchen, Papa Bear noticed that someone had been eating his porridge. Mama Bear saw that her bowl had been touched, and Baby Bear cried out when he found that all of his porridge was gone. In the living room, they realized that someone had been sitting in their chairs, and Baby Bear was upset to see his small chair broken into pieces.
When the bears went upstairs, they discovered that someone had been lying in their beds, and Baby Bear suddenly shouted that someone was still in his bed. His loud voice woke Goldilocks. Startled and frightened when she saw the three bears standing around her, she quickly jumped out of the bed, ran down the stairs, and rushed out of the house. She sprinted through the forest until she was completely out of sight. From that day on, Goldilocks learned her lesson and never entered a stranger’s home without permission again.
